Burritos without the grease—or the guilt

ou don’t have to feel guilty next time you eat a burrito. The Purple Cactus serves made-to-order burritos using a healthier collection of fillings—lean meats, brown rice, and, of course, a lot of vegetables—than many of those other places. The minimalist décor gives you a light, clean feeling from the moment you walk in. Choose a whole-wheat or spinach tortilla, or have the ingredients in a bowl with homemade guacamole, made fresh daily along with the homemade sour cream. Geiger

Chef/owner Marie O’Shea worked in Santa Fe’s Coyote Café and San Francisco’s Campton Place before opening the Purple Cactus in Provincetown and later moving to Jamaica Plain.
