Grow Your Own

A local farm where you can pick your dinner

o back in time—and pick your own dinner—at the hidden-away, close-in Belkin Family Lookout Farm, a surprisingly short tractor pull from downtown, with pick-your-own produce and kid-friendly activities from train rides to live entertainment. Established in 1651, Lookout bills itself as the oldest continuously operated farm in the United States. There’s a petting zoo, too, with everything including emus. You can’t have those for dinner, though. Cook

Lookout Farm is owned by multimillionaire Steve Belkin, whose direct-mail marketing company Trans National Group you’ve seen near Fenway Park, and who was once part owner of the Atlanta Thrashers and Atlanta Hawks.
