yers+Chang describes itself as a dim sum diner, though there aren’t a lot of diners that have mirrored walls and dragons on their windows. There aren’t a lot that serve up sweet potato fritters like the ones made here either. Filled with Chinese sausage, they’re fantastic. Spicy aioli gives them a kick—like most things on the Taiwan- and southeast Asian-inspired menu here—and they’re perfectly crispy on the outside and insanely soft on the inside. Like you’re eating clouds. But with flavor. Also try the homemade sodas—lychee vanilla, aloe yuzu, mint lime rickey—and the pork and chive dumplings. Horton
Husband-and-wife and Myers+Chang owners Christopher Myers and Joanne Chang both went to Harvard—Chang for applied math and economics, Myers for a literature PhD. She got her degree. He got bored. They met working at Rialto in Cambridge. Chang also ran every Boston Marathon from 1991 to 2006.
