eanut butter and jelly. Romeo and Juliet. The beach and a good book. There are some things that just belong together. The Nantucket Cottage Hospital Thrift Shop is the unlikely and little-known home to a killer selection of fiction and non fiction, whether you’re planning on reading on a secluded Nantucket beach or on the ferry ride home. While the selection ranges from New York Times bestsellers to classics, the prices are all the same: cheap. If your book comes to an end before your vacation does, donate your book back to help benefit the hospital (and future readers). Clements

There was no hospital on Nantucket until 1911, when Cottage Hospital was founded in a house on West Chester Street after a year-long search for a site whose neighbors didn’t object. The thrift shop opened in 1929, selling used clothes and household goods.
