ame old Rueben got you down? Can’t stand the thought of another grilled cheese? The bright-walled and friendly All Star Sandwich Bar will redefine everything you thought you ever knew about sandwiches. From the owners of the late, great East Coast Grill (who opened it) and sandwich gourmet brothers John and Kosto Diamantopoulous (who run it now), All Star offers heretofore unheard-of combinations (ever had a Cuban Rueben?), spicing up the otherwise bland lunch hour with the likes of the Atomic Meatloaf Meltdown, Texas Reuben (above), or the Pastraminator, and changes up the menu so often that it’s different almost every time you walk in. You never know what you’re in for at All Star, where the “restaurant entrees on bread” (never wraps), as the Diamantopoulouses affectionately call it, has been known to range from roast beef to alligator. Another secret: You get free Oreos for dessert. Tebsherany
