Take it Outside

Where to eat outdoors in the Financial District

t’s not like there’s a lot of quiet open space in the Financial District, but we’ve found you some: hidden behind Battery Park, which has transformed an alley into a patio overlooking a garden. You’d never know, from the front of this place, that there’s a peaceful deck out back. So settle in with your secret and watch the game while enjoying a drink at the mahogany bar, or come for the surprisingly affordable brunch, which includes a mimosa or a Bloody Mary. Or just pull up a chair to an outdoor table for a sandwich or a burger. Shelbourne

Manhattan’s Battery Park is named for the artillery batteries that once protected that island.
