T
he view from Pier 6 in Charlestown is pretty breathtaking all on its own, across the harbor from the city skyline as it is. But tear yourself away for a second and notice the mysterious door in the corner. It leads to a private and secluded corner of the deck, with just a single, romantic table. Called the Captain’s Table, this private getaway is a great place to enjoy that view, accompanied by drinks and right-off-the-boat seafood, and all you have to do is call ahead and ask for it.
Charlestown was not only once a separate town; it was the first capital of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. It was annexed by Boston in 1874.
