vershadowed by the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum across the parking lot, the Commonwealth Museum displays some even more historic gems, including the parchment charter issued by King Charles I that established the colony of Massachusetts Bay in 1629, a law against witchcraft passed in 1692, and the original state constitution, the oldest written constitution in the world still in use. The best secret? It’s free. Even the parking. Don’t tell us your state tax dollars never got you anything.
