It’s the surprisingly good café, called the Courtyard, off the Italianate courtyard of the Boston Public Library’s historic McKim Building, and it serves up everything from pastries to afternoon tea (on Wednesdays through Fridays) to three-course meals including simple salads to hanger steaks. Get your lunch to go and enjoy it in the courtyard, with nothing noisier than the splashing of the fountain to disturb you. Roh
