You don’t have to be a hotel guest to use it. Locals can buy memberships to the gym, which also includes such perks as chilled towels and massage services. Members get three hours of free parking per visit, and can warm up or chill out with a run along the Charles, right out front. The hotel also rent bikes. Another secret: You can order room service poolside. Hansen

Weight room always open; pool, steamrooms, and saunas, daily, 5 a.m. till 10 p.m.
