nce the summer home of Chicago bathroom fixture king Richard Crane, Castle Hill is a Stuart-style, 59-room mansion finished in 1927 on 800 acres, including a broad grand lawn half a mile long that ends at the ocean’s edge. The entrance hall alone is 63 feet long with a ceiling 16 feet high; the landscaping was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and completed by landscape architect Arthur Shurcliff, who also laid out the gardens at Colonial Williamsburg; and the faucets are made of sterling silver.
