oston meets Philadelphia at Moogy’s, a sub, sandwich, steak-and-cheese hoagie, and breakfast-all-day dive sandwiched itself between the Boston College campus and Brighton Center. The comfortable booths, board games, psychedelic vibe, and classic rock make this a great place to come with friends. The huge portions and outlandish variety of food makes it an even better place to stay. There are giant sandwiches named for local neighborhoods, universities, and nonsense words, and a variation on the gooey but irresistible New England fluffernutter, this one a triple-decker with bananas. Don’t come here if you care about your weight (or health), though. There are seven different types of fries and 12 varieties of chicken and steak hoagies—including one with both chicken and steak and another, called the Hoagie Heart Attack, that comes with bacon and eggs.
Marshmallow fluff was invented in Somerville in 1917 by candymaker Archibald Query. Read more here.
