nly the width of a hallway, the Hallway Gallery packs a lot of art into its skinny space. And film. And events. And music. And gallery talks. And with both emerging and established artists whose work is cutting-edge (female nudes by women artists) to whimsical (sculptures made of paper clips), the shows are as unique as the surroundings. There are receptions on the first Thursdays of every month, and the gallery collaborates with other local businesses for block parties, holiday events, and special offers. Thornton
The Hallway owner Brent Refsland is a photographer who relocated from Austin when his then girlfriend (now wife) moved here to go to law school. One of his projects: a series of portraits of the backs of people’s heads.
