hat the White Horse Tavern lacks in most of its other menu items, it makes up for with brunch. At this spot in Allston where the food is otherwise generally unappetizing, the White Horse offers a brunch that’s just the opposite. Unless you’re in the mood for a classic omelette (which the White Horse also happens to do surprisingly well), the secret is the French toast—and it’s not even on the menu. If you know enough to ask for it, the waitstaff will bring you a Nutella-stuffed French toast masterpiece, topped with a cinnamon-infused whipped cream icing and strawberries, which, if you’re not careful, will have you salivating before the first bite (and every single time you think about it afterward). Oh, and the beer is cheap, too. Tebsherany
