ession Americana is made up of six musicians who have played or recorded with dozens of other local bands and artists, but in their own group they dig up the dirt on four decades of acoustic, foot-stomping red, white, and blue folk, roots, and country. The name of the band may give you a broad sense of the sound, but north-of-the-border transplants like Robbie Robertson and Neil Young will narrow it down for you.
