he Fireplace will warm you up inside and out. This surprisingly urbane suburban restaurant uses simple local ingredients in a unique way, like in the butternut squash bisque with blue cheese and pumpkin seeds, or the restaurant’s signature chicken dish—a rotisserie-roasted, maple-glazed chicken served, simply, with mashed potatoes. Owned and operated by a former financial services guy-turned-chef named Paul Solomon, who, on weekends, doubles as a Revolutionary War re-enactor, the Fireplace hosts fireside chats every other Saturday of every month, with a wine, beer, or liquor tasting presented by an expert speaker.
