O
kay, it’s a big chain with its own supermarket brand, and one of the best-known seafood restaurants on the East Coast. So what’s so secret about Legal Sea Foods? That there’s one in Copley Place. While frustrated tourists and convention-goers line up endlessly for tables at the Prudential Center location just across the street, in-the-know locals cruise across the bridge into Copley for a table and some chowder and scrod with no waiting and a great view through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the South End’s rustic rooftops and charming cobblestones. Kutz
There’s no such fish as scrod. The word refers to cod or haddock under two pounds.
