Breaking the ice with Olympic hero Mike Eruzione

here are few people more “Boston” than Mike Eruzione. The Winthrop native attended Boston University, captained the hockey team, and remains one of the school’s all-time leading scorers. In the 1980 Olympics, Eruzione had five assists and three goals, including the winning goal against the Soviet Union that sent the American team on to win the gold in what Sports Illustrated calls the greatest sports moment of the century.” Eruzione kept to his roots and still lives in Winthrop with his wife and kids.
