lthough Mike is no longer the owner, his recipe and name are still intact at Mike’s Donuts, and locals in the know are still lining up to get one of the fresh honey-dipped doughnuts that make this place worth seeking out. A true neighborhood joint, Mike’s is the kind of place where employees greet the regulars by name. It offers up all kinds of sandwiches and salads, but doughnuts are what this place is all about. Baked fresh every morning, the trademark honey-dipped doughnut covered in a thick layer of sweet glaze melts in your mouth. It’s an irresistibly sweet breakfast treat. And here’s another great secret: You can also grab a Mike’s Donuts doughnut in the Forest Hills MBTA Station in Jamaica Plain. Arpie
