A Rat Pack throwback that’s a shrine to Sinatra

peakeasy-like, Lucky’s Lounge is just a shadowy and subterranean door on a corner, not marked by any signs outside. But locals know how to find this Rat Pack throwback, which is both a lunchtime lair and late-night supper club, with dim red lighting, two long bars, and vinyl-upholstered booths. It’s easy to imagine Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin coming in to suck down some martinis and order the ahi tuna with noodles. The Sinatra Sunday Brunch even includes Sinatra’s favorite omelet, made with creamy fontina cheese, prosciutto de parma, and diced tomatoes under sautéed sweet mushrooms and served with hash browns or home fries. Live music—soul, jazz, and, of course, a little Sinatra—keeps the customers dancing. Moravek

Frank Sinatra played Boston five times beginning in 1974 at the Boston Garden and ending in 1987 at Symphony Hall. In between he headlined fund-raisers, including one for then-presidential candidate Ronald Reagan and others for Red Sox star Tony Conigliaro and the Boston Youth Partnership.
