Eagles think February is, like, summer, and that’s when they fly south—many of them to the Joppa Flats Audubon sanctuary, where you can see them at the free annual Eagle Festival. Perched on the Merrimack River, the sanctuary’s education center has indoor and outdoor observations decks overlooking one of the nation’s best year-round wildlife viewing areas, with more than 300 species of birds in all.
