here’s one place in Chinatown that takes its dumplings seriously, right down to the name: the Dumpling Café. The dumplings here are made in house every morning by devoted dumpling experts, from mini steam buns with pork (also known as soup dumplings or xiao long bao) to vegetarian dumplings, to the taste of even the most discerning Chinatown regulars. You can try them, too, along with such exotic Taiwanese-style Chinese dishes as grilled duck tongue, chilled jellyfish with garlic, and preserved egg with chilled tofu, all served till 2 a.m.
Chinatown is Boston’s most densely populated neighborhood, with more than 28,000 people per square mile.
