She went to Wales for her master of arts at Aberystwyth University and has worked as a videojournalist, a production assistant at a Scottish theater company, an arts instructor in Denver, and for a London-based diplomatic organization so secret we can’t tell you about it. Greetings Cara,
Jessen here from SALMAGUNDI in Jamaica Plain. I was just doing my weekly internet search on our shop and I noticed that the photo on the “Mad Hatters” on MySecretBoston had changed. The new photo however is not a photo from our shop? I noticed you on the photo credit so I figured I would send you a note. In all honesty it appears the photo may be an old photo from the now defunked hat shop that was downtown called Toppers?
The tags on the hats were a dead give-a-way that the photo wasn’t ours as we don’t have tags on the hats as a department store would.
We would be happy to provide a photo, or since you are in JP you are more than welcome to come by and shoot one if you like.
    Either way, let me know!

    Hi Jessen,
Thanks for your message. Yes, I did shoot the hat photo from Toppers for a story MSB did a few years ago on that store, good eye! However, I do not post the editorial content or choose the photos on My Secret Boston. You’ll have to contact the editorial team to have the photo changed. Check the “About Us” tab and then send an email through the form “contact us.”
