A cheap nightspot in a pricey ‘hood

T

he Faneuil Hall neighborhood is rife with overpriced bars. But one block past the gum-chewing coeds on their cell phones flirting in the rope lines with the bouncers, there’s a less well-known combination sports bar and dance club with $2 drafts. Overlooking Haymarket Square, site of the city’s main open-air produce market, the Point has an upstairs bar with a smallish dance floor and windows on the street, an unpretentious tile-floored sports bar on the main floor that has cheap wings on Mondays and those draft deals every night of the week.
